What is the pet food pantry?

The UVHS Pet Food Pantry is part of our continued mission to enhance the quality of life for people and pets in the Upper Valley. It provides temporary assistance to people in need to help keep families intact during difficult times. We want to be able to help as many pets and their families as possible. This program is intended to temporarily supplement your monthly supply of pet food, not be the permanent sole source of food.

This program is for individuals and families only; we are unable to provide assistance to rescue groups or breeders.

Since 2015, the Upper Valley Humane Society has offered a Pet Food Pantry at our Adoption Center. The original pantry serves more than 200 pets per month and is open during our normal business hours. Stop by and say hello to the animals while you are visiting!

For even more accessibility, UVHS travels to local food pantries and the VA Hospital to hand out pet food. Mobile Pantry locations include Sunapee, Plainfield, Canaan, Sharon, and the Haven in White River Junction.

As of January 2020, UVHS will also be in the Community Room at the Kilton Public Library on the last Thursday of each month from 1 — 3 p.m.
