Customer & Animal Care Technician

The Upper Valley Humane Society is looking for an animal superhero to join us as a Customer & Animal Care Technician. There are two main aspects of the job: 1) direct animal care including cleaning, feeding, and training and 2) customer care which includes adopting animals into new loving homes and helping clients of our on-site pet food pantry.
There’s a chance you may be an ideal Animal Care Technician if:
Boredom is your enemy. Nothing makes you happier than a busy day at work – things so busy that you look up and realize it’s the end of your shift already. Even better if you love it when you don’t know what the day will bring and there’s always something new to learn. You’re the kind of person who always makes sure that all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed.
Weekend and some holiday hours are required.

Building & Grounds Assistant
Do you prefer working outdoors? Like having an active job? Enjoy making things work properly and look their best? The Upper Valley Humane Society would be a great place for you! We have a part-time opening for a Building & Grounds Assistant, who would be responsible for maintaining the property and facilities. Duties include mowing, shoveling, general maintenance, facility cleaning, minor repairs and small building projects. Starting pay is $15/hr. and we’re seeking someone for approximately 15 hours/week. We offer flexible scheduling, paid time off, and a collaborative work environment…and of course, lots of dog kisses and cat purrs! The ideal candidate would have experience in landscape maintenance as well as working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Sound like you?
