Sylvia lives in Orange, NH and adopted her dog, Spot, from UVHS. She is proud of the number of animals who find loving homes each year with our help, and equally proud of our commitment to the community – helping in so many ways so that people do not have to give up their beloved pets.
ANNE PAGE, TREASURER
Anne retired as the VP of Regional Finance at Dartmouth-Hitchcock serving as a financial resource to hospitals and providers in NH, VT, and MA. Prior to that Anne was a Senior Manager at Ernst Young in both the Manchester, NH, and Chicago, IL, offices providing audit and consulting services to healthcare organizations. Anne is currently serving on the board of West Central Behavioral Health and has served on several non-profit organization boards throughout NH, often as Treasurer. She has also served as Chair of the Board for Kendal at Hanover and Visiting Nurse Association of VT and NH. Anne graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN, with a Bachelor of Arts degree (double majoring in mathematics and economics) and from Indiana University with an MBA degree. Always an animal lover, having cats, dogs, and hamsters throughout life, Anne currently happily volunteers as a foster mom to many UVHS cats and kittens.

Jerry also served as Chairman of the Board for Oncura, a company focused on prostate cancer treatment. He earned a BS in Biology from the State University College of Oneonta (NY) and an MBA from the University of New Haven. Jerry now enjoys retirement in the Upper Valley.
BRITTANY BROWN
Brittany is a marketing and communications professional based in the Upper Valley. She is skilled in website management and has a background in nonprofit fundraising and events. She holds a BA in Communication from UMass Amherst and an MS in Health Communication from Boston University. Her lifelong love of animals led her to begin volunteering at UVHS in 2024. JULIE DOHERTY
Julie is a Research Project Manager at Dartmouth College. She manages several research, quality improvement, and operational projects designed to improve the health care experience for providers and patients at Dartmouth Health. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby-Sawyer College and a Master of Arts degree from Dartmouth College. Julie is passionate about helping animals and has been a long-time supporter of UVHS. Julie has adopted several beloved pets from UVHS over the years, including her most recent rescue cat named Monk.
SANDRA HAYNES
Sandy’s professional career in Human Resources focused on organizational planning and design with business leaders, talent management, employee development, and performance management. After leaving the corporate world in 2015, Sandy devoted her time to animal welfare. For the past decade, she has held a variety of roles at several animal shelters and rescues, ranging from volunteering as a dog walker and adoption counselor to becoming Operations Director for two large regional animal shelters, one being UVHS. Sandy has recently been focusing on transporting animals from overpopulated areas where the number of adoptable animals is unmanageable and has organized the transport of over 600 dogs and cats. Sandy has had multiple dogs in her life, and together with her husband they currently have three dogs, one of which was adopted from UVHS. She frequently fosters dogs and is trying hard not to fall victim to the temptation of being a foster fail.
CAITLIN KOHL
New to the Upper Valley, Caitlin discovered the Upper Valley Humane Society shortly after moving and was immediately impressed by its mission and the forward momentum the shelter is developing. She brings extensive experience working with nonprofits and volunteer programs to her role as a board member. A lifelong animal lover, Caitlin has always enjoyed volunteering with animals and has shared her life with rescue pets who have deeply impacted her. These experiences inspired her commitment to giving back to the community, now through UVHS. Guided by the believe that “Time spent with cats is never wasted” (Sigmund Freud), Caitlin is excited to help the organization grow and expand its ability to care for and protect more animals in the future.
